Uptown Chefs is comprised of highly skilled chefs, great locally sourced products and an amazing service team. We are based inside the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Center, where we provide exclusive catering services to all events held at the Hotel. Our Event Coordinators will work closely with you to develop a customized catering package and will keep in close contact until the day of your event. Our service staff will provide basic linens, glassware, plates, cutlery, catering equipment and our Chefs will prepare a menu to impress and excite you and your guests.

Romeo Oloresisimo


Romeo began his career in the kitchen at the age of 17. He spent a large part of his career working in Vancouver and gaining his Red Seal at Vancouver Community College in 2008. He’s won numerous culinary competitions in Vancouver and Kamloops. He’s been at the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre since 2010 and has built ROMEOs Kitchen + Spirits into a place to eat in Kamloops.

Alix Swint


Alix is our Banquet Manager and has been with Uptown Chefs since it all started, she is the brains of the operational side of putting on your event. She takes great pride in her work and providing the best quality of service. Her role is to oversee the logistics of catering your event on the day of. Alix and her team will be with you every step of the way, from arriving to departing your event. Alix oversees the implementation of catering services and offers a large variety of experience.

Robyn Twerdochlib


Robyn has over 15 years of event experience. She got her start working as a Volunteer Coordinator & Guest Experience Manager at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada. She has been at this property for 14 years and specializes in Corporate Events & Conferences/Tradeshows. Robyn’s gift of organization, attention to detail, creative imagination, concept design and contagious enthusiasm have earned her a reputation for unparalleled excellence as an event planner. Robyn will ensure your concepts are executed flawlessly while maintaining a pleasant, calm, and helpful demeanor to ensure an amazing experience for you and your guests.

Nicole St. Godard

Food & Beverage

Nicole has been in the food & beverage industry for 16 years. She started out by serving and made a gradual move into management. Her enthusiasm for the food & beverage industry hasn’t waivered in all of that time. She loves what she does and continues to enjoy each and every day at work. She worked with Romeo and the team at the Coast Kamloops Hotel and Conference Centre to build ROMEOs Kitchen + Spirits and is extremely proud of the venture.

Kelly Mulhall

Assistant Banquet

Kelly is an assistant manager with 11 years experience in catering, she has been with Uptown Chefs since the beginning and continues to play a big role in making your event a huge success. She looks forward to working with you and making your event nothing less than AMAZING!

Katie Ross

Sales and Event

Katie is passionate about and committed to helping people. In and out of her professional life, she is always finding herself in the middle of planning fun and memorable events for the people around her. That’s why professional event planning and catering is right up her alley. She has leveraged her experience working 15+ years in customer service, which made the transition to Event Coordinating that much easier. Katie specializes in offsite events both corporate and social. Admittedly, Weddings are one of her favourite types of events to plan.

Lynsey Evans

Sales and Event

Lynsey has over 7 years of experience in the Hospitality industry. She graduated with a diploma in Event & Conventions Management in 2020 and has been at this property for 2 years. She plans both Social & Corporate Events. Lynsey is inspired by the clients she works with and thrives on ensuring even the smallest of details are worked through to ensure all of the needs of her clients are met. Her passion for planning is visible in every single event she does. She believes in the magic of transforming thoughts and dreams into memorable weddings and events. Lynsey’s strong interpersonal & communication skills along with attention to detail are guaranteed to set your event up for success.
